Julianne Ponan, Creative Nature

Julianne Ponan, Creative Nature

When supermarket buyers ignored her calls, Julianne Ponan turned detective; so determined was she to get her superfood snacks stocked.  Identifying buyers via social media, she made numerous phone calls and even turned up for meetings trying to secure listings through tailored pitches convincing buyers that her brand was exactly what they needed. Her tenacity paid off and the ethically sourced Creative Nature is the only UK super food brand to secure listings in one of the ‘big four’ supermarket chains with several others showing interest, both in the UK and abroad.

With ambitions to become the number one super food brand of choice in Europe, Creative Nature turned over twice its 2013 turnover in the first six months of 2014 with listings in Ocado, Boots and Tesco as well as International listings in Sweden, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and the UAE.  Julianne believes her personal attention in every aspect of the business has ensured its early success – she works in partnership with a designer on packaging and loves nothing more than introducing the product to the public at consumer events. Celebrity endorsements already include Katie Piper, Aly Dixon and Craig Mccann. Future plans now include Little Mix. to target a younger audience and increase Creative Nature’s market share across many different channels.

Julianne has since been invited to speak at the Great British Entrepreneur Show in November – alongside the likes of Ben Hunt Davis, Olympic Gold Champion and Richard Reed, founder of Innocent Smoothies – to share her story behind how she turned Creative Nature into a success by age 25.
